Heos AVR Streaming Home Theatre Receiver

New from Heos (by Denon) is the AVR.  This sleek looking 5.1 channel home theatre receiver features the HEOS multi room streaming technology and a great sounding movie experience.

With 4x HDMI inputs and 1x HDMI out with ARC (Audio Return Channel), 1x optical input, 1x coaxial input , 1x Stereo RCA input and 1x 3.5 input, this receiver offers a respectable amount of inputs.

It offers some options when it comes to speaker configuration.  You can use a ‘traditional’ 5.1 speaker package and run speaker cables to each speaker, or configure a ‘hybrid’ speaker configuration where you can use 3 traditional speaker for the front and centre speakers and use any HEOS speaker for the rears, the option to use the HEOS SUB for the subwoofer or a HEOS amplifier to power a pair of rear ceiling or in-wall speakers.

The AVR integrates the HEOS multi room system to give you wireless streaming from music services such as Spotify, Deezer, Tidal, Internet Radio, Pandora, and music store locally on a phone or iPad/tablet or on a networked hard drive. (NAS drive or USB hard drive)

The receiver can then be integrated with any other HEOS speaker around your home to give you multi room streaming controlled from 1 app across multiple devices and platforms.

This attractive, sleek, powerful little receiver is certainly a product to watch.  It really fills a gap in the market for a streaming device with TRUE 5.1 surround sound.
